Cognivy exists because the gap between an assessment invitation and useful preparation is filled with guesswork. The invitation names a product. Almost nothing else tells you what that product asks of you.
The short version
What Cognivy is
Cognivy is a preparation platform for the cognitive and reasoning tests used in hiring: numerical, verbal, logical, inductive, deductive, diagrammatic, spatial, mechanical and abstract reasoning, plus the checking and calculation formats that sit alongside them.
It is study material. It is not a real assessment, not a recruitment service, and not a route to a score an employer will see. Everything on the site exists to make the real test familiar before you sit it.
The candidate
Who it is for
Cognivy is built for adults applying for work who have been asked to sit a pre-employment reasoning test, usually at short notice and usually without being told much about it. That is the whole audience. It is not built for school entrance exams or for children.
The problem it solves is narrow and specific. An invitation arrives naming something like Verify Interactive G+, scales cls, the CCAT or a Logiks Advanced test. Searching that name returns marketing pages, forum speculation and question banks that will not say where their answers came from. Cognivy is the attempt to answer the same question properly: what is this test, what does it actually ask you to do, and what should you practise between now and the date on the invitation.
Launch coverage
What the launch library covers
The launch scope is 8 provider families and 15 test-type guides, covering 60 learning tracks between them. Each provider hub explains the family, the named assessments inside it, and which reasoning skills those assessments report.
Scope is deliberately bounded. Personality questionnaires, situational judgement tests, interviews and job simulations are outside the launch library. Where an employer’s process includes those, Cognivy says so on the provider hub rather than implying it prepares you for the whole process.

The route
How preparation is structured
Cognivy does not open with a question bank. It opens with the assessment you named, and works outwards from there in a fixed order.

The guide. What the assessment is, which skills it reports, how its questions are posed and what the invitation wording tells you. Free, and readable without an account.

The diagnostic. A short set of questions across the tracks your assessment actually covers. It exists to find your starting point, not to score you. We do not ask you to self-rate your ability, because people are poor at it in both directions.

The roadmap. Your assessment date sets the pace and the named assessment sets the skills. The roadmap is the product home, not a dashboard you visit once.

Practice and explanations. Every question is followed by why the right answer is right and why each wrong option is wrong. A question you got right for the wrong reason is a question you will get wrong under time pressure.

Rehearsal and review. Full mock tests under the timing and interaction style your provider uses, then a review queue driven by what you missed.
What we will and will not publish
Our principles for launch-bank practice content
- Every practice question is original material written for Cognivy.
- No live, leaked, proprietary or reconstructed employer test content, ever. Cognivy has no access to the real item banks and does not want it.
- Launch-bank questions pass an independent cold solve and an attempt to disprove the answer.
- Prototype diagnostic samples are labelled and are not presented as approved launch-bank questions.
- Every wrong option is wrong for a stated reason, and the explanation names that reason.
- Official provider documentation is cited on the page that relies on it.
- Where a format detail varies by version or employer, we say it varies rather than inventing a precise number.
- No invented percentiles, pass marks, improvement statistics or customer counts.
- Fewer questions, verified, beats more questions, unchecked.

Accountability
Who operates Cognivy
Cognivy is independently owned and operated. It is not part of, funded by, or commercially connected to any assessment publisher.
Cognivy does not publish a staff directory or use invented expert profiles. What can be held accountable is the work itself: factual claims link to sources, the review method is public, and questions or corrections sent to the address below are handled under the published policy rather than at discretion.
Cognivy holds no psychometric qualification and claims none. It does not claim that its material is written or certified by a chartered psychologist or a test developer. What the site offers instead is stated method: primary sources cited where a factual claim is made, launch-bank questions reviewed independently of the process that generated them, and a corrections process anyone can trigger.
The distinction that matters
Independence from assessment providers
Cognivy is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or connected to SHL, Aon, cut-e, Criteria, Pearson, TalentLens, Korn Ferry, Talent Q, Assessio, Saville Assessment, Talogy, Cubiks or any other assessment publisher.
Those names are trademarks of their respective owners. Cognivy uses them for one purpose only: identifying which assessment format a page helps you practise. A candidate who has been invited to an SHL assessment needs to find preparation for that format, and there is no way to help them without naming it. Naming a format is not a claim of association with the company that publishes it.
Cognivy has no access to live, retired, leaked or proprietary assessment content, and no visibility into any employer’s scoring, norms or cut scores. The practice questions are original material written to teach the reasoning and the response format. They are not reproductions of any publisher’s items. Where you need the authoritative word on your specific assessment, the provider’s own candidate documentation is the source, and each provider hub links to it.
Preparation improves familiarity, pace and confidence. It cannot guarantee a score, a pass, an interview or a job offer, and Cognivy does not promise one.
