These terms cover your use of cognivy.io. By using the site or buying access to it, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
Purpose
What Cognivy is
Cognivy is an educational preparation site for adults facing pre-employment reasoning and cognitive assessments. It provides guides, diagnostics, practice questions, explanations, timed drills, mock tests and learning roadmaps.
It is study material and information. It is not a real assessment, not an official version of any assessment, not a recruitment or hiring service, and not careers, legal or psychological advice. It does not produce a score any employer will see or accept.
Eligibility
Who may use it
Cognivy is for adults. It is not designed or intended for children, or for school entrance preparation. If you are using the site somewhere that requires an adult to agree to terms on your behalf, that person must agree to these.
The important one
Independence and trademarks
Cognivy is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or connected to SHL, Aon, cut-e, Criteria, Pearson, TalentLens, Korn Ferry, Talent Q, Assessio, Saville Assessment, Talogy, Cubiks or any other assessment publisher or employer.
All provider, product and test names, and any associated trademarks, are the property of their respective owners. Cognivy uses them descriptively, to identify which assessment format a page helps you prepare for. No page claims to reproduce, replicate or provide official assessment content, and Cognivy has no access to live, retired, leaked or proprietary assessment material.
What we do not promise
No guaranteed outcome
Preparation improves familiarity, pace and confidence. It cannot guarantee a result. Cognivy does not promise, and you should not infer, any particular test score, a pass, a percentile, progression to the next stage, an interview or a job offer.
Cognivy also cannot guarantee that an assessment you sit will match the format described here. Test publishers change their products, and employers configure them differently. The instructions supplied with your own assessment are authoritative, and they take precedence over anything on this site.
Commercial terms
Access and payment
- Guides, the diagnostic and your starting route are free and need no payment.
- Complete access to the practice library is a single payment of £39, covering every provider suite and test type in Cognivy.
- It is not a subscription. Nothing renews automatically, there is no recurring charge and there is nothing to cancel.
- Access is granted to you personally for your own preparation, and is not transferable or shareable.
- Payment and checkout will be handled by a third-party payment processor, never by Cognivy directly. Cognivy does not receive or store your card details. See the privacy policy.
- The price shown at the point of purchase is the price that applies to that purchase. Changing the price later does not affect a purchase already made.
Money back
Refunds
Access comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The refund policy explains who it covers, how to request one and what to include. That policy forms part of these terms.
Permitted use
Permitted use
You may use Cognivy for your own personal test preparation. That includes reading the guides, working through practice questions and explanations, taking mock tests, and printing or saving a reasonable amount of material for your own study.
Not permitted
What you must not do
- Copy, resell, republish, redistribute, or license Cognivy questions, explanations or guides, in any medium, including uploading them to another site, a shared drive or a study group repository.
- Scrape, crawl for bulk extraction, harvest, or systematically download the site or any part of its content, whether manually or by automated means.
- Use Cognivy content to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine-learning model.
- Share, sell or transfer your access, or use somebody else’s.
- Circumvent, disable or interfere with any access control or paywall, or attempt to reach content you have not paid for.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems, probe them for vulnerabilities without permission, or take any action that overloads or disrupts them.
- Misrepresent Cognivy content as official assessment material, or as affiliated with any assessment publisher.
We may suspend or end access where these rules are broken. If you believe you have found a security problem, email us rather than exploiting it, and we will treat the report seriously.
Ownership
Intellectual property
The guides, practice questions, distractors, explanations, roadmaps, the way the material is structured, and the site’s design and code are original work owned by Cognivy or used with permission. Buying access buys you a personal right to use that material for your own preparation. It does not transfer ownership of any of it.
Third-party names and marks referred to on the site remain the property of their owners, as set out above.
The service
Availability and changes
Cognivy is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be reachable, uninterrupted or free of error. Maintenance, hosting failures and problems outside our control all happen.
We may add, change, or remove features and content, including as assessment formats change. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, tell us and we will put it right.
Elsewhere
External links
Cognivy links to assessment publishers’ own documentation and to other external sources so you can check what we say. Those sites are not under our control. Linking to a source is not endorsement of that organisation, and we are not responsible for their content, their availability or their handling of your data.
Limits
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Cognivy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost opportunities, or for the outcome of any assessment, application or hiring decision. Where Cognivy is found liable in connection with your use of the site, that liability is limited to the amount you paid us.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Ending it
Termination
You can stop using Cognivy at any time. We may suspend or withdraw access where these terms are broken, in particular the redistribution and scraping rules above. Where we end your access for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund you fairly for what you have not been able to use.
If something goes wrong
Disputes and your legal rights
Please email us first. Most problems are a misunderstanding or a mistake on our side, and both are faster to fix directly than formally.
Nothing in these terms removes or reduces rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you, and those rights cannot be signed away by a website’s terms. If you are a consumer, you may also be able to bring a complaint through the consumer dispute body or the courts of the country where you live.

Contact and changes to these terms
Questions about these terms go to hello@cognivy.io. We may update them, and when we do the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms; a change does not alter the terms that applied to a purchase you have already made.
