Korn Ferry publishes a broad assessment portfolio for selection and development. Its candidate process can include cognitive ability tests, personality questionnaires, competencies, motivations, situational judgement or leadership assessments. The phrase Korn Ferry assessment test therefore identifies the provider, not one universal question set.

Is Talent Q the same as Korn Ferry?
Talent Q is the candidate-facing assessment identity used for Elements and Aspects within Korn Ferry. Korn Ferry's current candidate site still uses Talent Q and My Talent Q, links directly to Korn Ferry and labels its official practice assessments with the Elements and Aspects names.
Your invitation may therefore say Korn Ferry assessment, Talent Q test or My Talent Q without describing three unrelated providers. Cognivy keeps those names on one canonical route while using the most specific test label to choose your diagnostic and practice plan.

Elements combines numerical, verbal and logical routes. Aspects Ability Checking is a separate named checking test. Do not prepare all four when your invitation has already narrowed the task.

Is this an aptitude test or psychometric assessment?
Psychometric assessment is the broad category. The four launch routes are cognitive ability or aptitude tests within that category, measuring how you interpret written, numerical, abstract or checking information. Korn Ferry also publishes non-cognitive assessments, so not every Korn Ferry psychometric assessment is an aptitude test.

Elements Numerical measures your ability to analyse figures, data and statistics and draw supported conclusions. Useful practice combines chart and table reading with percentages, ratios, rates and multi-step calculations under an individual question timer.

How does Elements Verbal reasoning work?
Elements Verbal measures how accurately you interpret written information and reach a conclusion from the evidence supplied. The useful habit is to separate what the passage states from what seems plausible from outside knowledge.

How does the Elements Logical reasoning test work?
Elements Logical measures how well you analyse abstract information and identify the rule that determines an outcome or pattern. Candidates may describe this as an abstract test or non-verbal reasoning test, but the official assessment name is Elements Logical.
Korn Ferry currently lists a 15-minute total allowance. Practise describing changes in number, position, rotation, shading and relationship before looking for the one option that preserves every part of the rule.

What is Aspects Ability Checking?
Aspects Ability Checking measures how quickly and accurately you detect differences in data. A strong method is systematic: compare the same position in each record, mark the first confirmed mismatch and avoid rereading the whole string from the beginning after every difference.
Korn Ferry currently lists a six-minute total allowance. The short test creates sustained speed pressure, so practise visual scanning and accuracy together rather than treating checking as an untimed attention exercise.
Delivery and scoring
Are Korn Ferry ability tests adaptive and timed?
Yes. Korn Ferry says all its cognitive ability tests are adaptive: the system selects the next question from whether the previous response was correct, incorrect or unanswered within the time limit. Each question has its own countdown, and the official guidance recommends using the available time carefully instead of rushing into an unconsidered response.
Results are compared with a reference group and reported as a percentile. Korn Ferry does not set a universal pass mark; the hiring organisation may choose a role-specific benchmark. An adaptive test may follow a correct answer with a harder item, but you cannot read your score from how hard the questions feel, in either direction.
