An error-checking test asks you to compare information and detect mismatches quickly. The content is usually simple, but accuracy is difficult because codes, names or records are deliberately similar and the time limit is tight.
The test assesses checking accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to maintain a consistent comparison process under repetitive time pressure.
Question formats
What do the questions look like?
You may compare two lists, find a changed character, check whether a record was transferred correctly or count the differences between codes. Some provider formats require rapid classification rather than a simple same-or-different response.

A customer record appears in a source table and an entered form. You compare the reference number, date and amount, then report how many fields were copied incorrectly.
